Janet Warren, long time volunteer and former Board Member was selected by Bank of America as a Local Hero for 2009. Bank of America honors community members that have championed causes vital to their local community and for their significant impact on that community. Janet was nominated by The Children’s Place for her unwavering dedication and commitment to its children. Janet has volunteered in Rudy Liggins classroom for over 25 years, providing an extra set of arms for hugs and most importantly love to many children that have not had enough of that in their young lives. Janet’s award also comes with a $5,000 contribution that Janet has directed to The Children’s Place. A Top Adviser The latest Barron's cover story on the nation's top 100 women financial advisers includes Kansas Citian Darcy Howe of Merrill Lynch. Howe, who works at Merrill's Plaza office, was ranked No. 87. Howe, who was among three dozen women who were new this year to the
list, had about $950 million in assets under management, Barron's said
in the June 8 issue. Her typical account size was about $20 million.
