is one way you can help other Kappas in need. The Rose McGill Fund
has been in place since 1922 when Rose McGill, an ill Kappa from
Beta Psi, Toronto, needed financial assistance to cover her hospital
expenses. Her chapter had been helping her, but became unable to
continue its financial support. So at the Convention of 1922, a Beta
Psi delegate asked if the Fraternity had a source of money that could
offer aid to someone like Rose McGill. There was none! However, a
desire to establish a fund for the purpose of assisting members
with outright gifts in times of financial difficulty became a reality
and the Rose McGill Fund was conceived.
